The foundation and the hospital organised a programme featuring department visits, the tunnel museum and a documentary presentation.
Qanawat Alkhier Foundation and Kafr Batna National Hospital organised an event titled “From the Cave to the Light”. According to the foundation’s announcement, it presented the hospital’s achievements and development from its “Cave Hospital” phase to its current services.
The programme included a tour of functioning departments and a look at departments needing support to reopen. Participants also visited a tunnel previously used for medical and humanitarian purposes, presented as a museum of locally developed tools and equipment used during the medical siege of Eastern Ghouta. A documentary presentation concluded the programme.
Attendees included officials from Eastern Ghouta and the Rural Damascus health authorities, alongside international organisations, charities and local traders who had supported the hospital. The foundation thanked supporters, volunteers and participants, including Hamwi Cafe and Biscoza, which provided hospitality.
