Damascus launches local development pathways under “A Renaissance Retold”

Qanawat Alkhier Foundation shared news of the launch of local development pathways in Damascus under the theme “A Renaissance Retold.” Its post, published on 12 November 2025, stated that the event had been launched the previous day through the Damascus Governorate’s Development Directorate.

The approach described in the post centres on organised cooperation between institutions and residents through neighbourhood development committees nominated by local communities. These committees are intended to help turn proposed initiatives into practical work. The account also noted attendance by official, religious and diplomatic representatives.
